Jared Goldsmith
Owner (11 Years)
Jared graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from New Mexico State University in 2006 and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2008. After getting married and moving to North Dallas in 2008, Jared spend the next 4.5 years working as an engineer for Bell Helicopter in the drive systems group, eventually earning his P.E. in Mechanical Engineering. After a few years in the industry, Jared wanted to work independently and start his own business. After brainstorming different business ideas with his wife who worked as a petroleum engineer, he decided to learn as much as possible about the field of hydrocarbon testing. He attended his first training class on operating gas chromatographs in 2013, bought a GC, and soon after moved to Midland. Natty Gas Lab was started in the shop behind their house and resided there for 10 years before moving to its current location.
Stefan Carrasco
Lab Technician (Since 2020)
Stefan graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from University of Texas Permian Basin in 2019. Stefan worked for Solnexus for a year as a technician before joining Natty Gas Lab. Stefan currently performs all duties in the lab, including field sampling, custody transfer of samples and analyzing samples.
Alexandra Vazquez
Lab Assistant (Since 2021)
Alexandra began working at Natty Gas Lab shortly after graduating from Greenwood High School. She is currently attending Midland College pursing a degree in nursing. Alexandra helps anywhere needed in the lab and spends most of her time generating analysis reports.
Alex Mata
Lab Technician (2024)
Alex graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry from Texas Tech in the spring of 2023. He recently joined the team at Natty Gas Lab after a few years of experience working as a completions lab technician.
